Luna was designed with privacy as a core principle. Your journal is deeply personal, and we believe your thoughts should remain entirely yours. This Privacy Policy explains how Luna handles (and doesn't handle) your data.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Luna does not collect, transmit, or store:

  • Your journal entries or written content
  • AI-generated reflections or insights
  • Mood data or emotional analysis results
  • Personal information you enter (such as your name)
  • Usage analytics or behavioral data
  • Location data
  • Contact information from your device

On-Device Processing

All AI features in Luna are powered by Apple's FoundationModels framework, which runs entirely on your device. Your journal entries are analyzed locally to provide emotional insights and reflections. No data is sent to external servers, cloud services, or third-party APIs for processing.

Data Storage

Your journal entries are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is part of your device's local storage and is protected by your device's built-in security features, including device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.

If you enable iCloud backup on your device, your journal data may be included in your device backup according to Apple's iCloud backup policies. This is managed by Apple and your device settings, not by Luna.

Third-Party Services

Luna does not integrate with any third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or data processing services. The App operates independently without external service dependencies.

Children's Privacy

Luna is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using the App, please contact us.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your data at all times. You can delete individual journal entries within the App, or delete all data by uninstalling the App from your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of Luna after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
